Pumpkin pie or apple pie? That is the question.
There are two kinds of people in this world. Pumpkin pie or apple pie people. Whether or not you know much about American Thanksgiving, you've probably heard of these two famous American desserts. Thanksgiving, which is always on the last Thursday of November, is when these two pies get their five minutes of fame. Apple pie gets some more time in the spotlight at Christmas, perhaps making it the more popular of the two desserts. But us pumpkin pie people know deep down that a perfect pumpkin pie definitely beats a perfect apple pie. I have hosted many Thanksgivings for my European friends, and most of them still prefer apple pie, so maybe pumpkin pie is an acquired taste, but if you ask me, it's the perfect dessert. So, I thought to give you the chance to make it and try it yourself by presenting you with the perfect pumpkin pie recipe. Have you ever tried following a recipe in English? So, in honor of Thanksgiving, here is your extracurricular English activity for the week, even if you don't like cooking, try watching the video to practice your listening skills!
